Born and raised in Maou, a small village on Mykonos island, where his great-grandparents owned a traditional farm, Chef Nikos Sideris grew up cultivating a deep love and respect towards the Greek land and its treasures. Knowing all the secrets of the local products and how to use them from a really young age, he quickly became passionate about the rich tradition and culinary history of his beloved island.
His professional life as a cook started almost twenty years ago, and since then he has gained valuable experience by working in restaurants and hotels in Greece, UK and Australia, as well as from traveling the world for gastronomy seminars, gathering knowledge and inspiration from various food cultures and cuisines.
Following the farm-to-table logic he learned in the family farm, he knows where to get the freshest of locally sourced, seasonal best-quality ingredients and raw materials to compose high-end dishes and creative recipes. Mykonian Chef was established in 2022 and operates in Mykonos and Athens, aiming to craft one-of-a-kind culinary experiences in a place which is not only his beloved hometown, but also one of the world’s favorite summer destinations.
Therefore, now the summer seasons find Chef Nikos in Mykonos, making the best out of his knowledge in order to create sustainable menus with seasonal, fresh and local ingredients processed with international techniques, as well as sharing his expertise with people that are eager to learn through his thoughtfully designed cooking lessons.
